Welcome from the Principal

Hello and welcome to Cummings Valley Elementary School—home of the Cougars!

As I step into my first year at Cummings Valley and my 10th year as an administrator in TUSD, I am thrilled to join this wonderful school community. Throughout my decade in educational leadership, my passion has always been partnering with talented staff, involved families, and inspiring students to foster a school culture where everyone thrives.

Tehachapi is an incredible place to live and work, and I am honored to lead a campus deeply committed to the success of the whole child. At CVS, we prioritize inclusive practices to ensure every learner feels valued, supported, and challenged. Through Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Capturing Kids' Hearts (CKH), we intentionally build strong relationships, nurture positive school culture, and empower students both academically and socially-emotionally.

This school year, we are thrilled to embark on a journey together under our new theme: "All Aboard the CVS Express!" This theme represents our shared drive toward growth, connection, and excellence as we navigate the year ahead as one united team.
